The site counts visitors without cookies. Each visit is recorded as an anonymous fingerprint that changes every day, so I can see how many people visited today, not who you are or what you did last week. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, nothing following you around the internet afterwards.

Embedded YouTube videos only load when you press play, using YouTube’s no-cookie player, so watching nothing means loading nothing.

The contact forms, and the game waiting list, collect what you type: usually a name, an email address and a message. They are used to reply to you, or to send you the one thing you asked for, and for nothing else. No mailing lists you did not ask to join, no passing your details on.

Member accounts have no passwords. Signing in emails you a one-time link, so the account holds your email address, a name if you gave one, and your answer to “what brings you here” if you gave that. Signing in sets one functional cookie that keeps you signed in. It tracks nothing.

Vela is the AI assistant in the corner of the site, and she says this herself: conversations with her are saved, and Alex reads them. That is what makes her useful, because a project you describe to her does not need describing twice.

When Vela is live, messages are processed by Anthropic, the AI company, to generate her replies. Do not put anything in the chat you would not put in an email to a business, and anything you want scrubbed from the record, ask.

Booking a call puts the details you give, name, email, what you want to talk about, into Alex’s Google Calendar and sends you a normal calendar invite. Guests you add are invited and nothing more.

If you are sent a document to sign, the signed document, the signature, and an audit trail of when it was viewed and signed are kept, because that record is the point of signing. The audit trail stores a scrambled fingerprint of your connection, not your address.

The site runs on Vercel and its database on Neon, both under this site’s own locked-down credentials. Data is kept while it is useful for the purpose you gave it, and not hoarded past that.

You can ask what is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, any time: email alex@alexpink.co.uk and it gets done. Signed documents are the one exception, because a contract record has to stay a contract record.
