A strategy game, a trading platform demo and a church community app, all built by Alex Pink

App Studio

App Studio

Web apps, mobile apps, desktop tools and games. I build them, host them and get them launched.

What I build

Apps, tools and games.

Web apps

Customer portals, booking systems, content platforms and marketing sites. Anything that runs in a browser, on any device.

Mobile apps

Native apps for iOS and Android, published to the App Store and Play Store under your name.

Desktop and pipeline tools

Desktop apps and automation for studios, agencies and operations teams. I run a CGI studio too, so I know those pipelines from the inside.

Games

Indie titles, casual mobile games and prototypes that prove an idea before the big spend.

The work

A few things I’ve built.

Most of my work is under NDA, but members can read more builds in detail.

Automation

A working trading platform, built as a demo

I coded a working replica inside 3D animation software. It cut out human error and kept the branding exact in every frame.

If a process in your business is repetitive, it can probably be automated.

Mobile app

A community in everyone’s pocket

I have made hundreds of apps. This one is for the church I go to. People can contact each other, introduce themselves, book life events and manage the volunteer rotas.

The same ingredients suit a gym, a club, or any group of people who need to find each other.

A real-time strategy game built in Unity, in alpha testing

Games

I make games too

The big one is my own real-time strategy game, built in Unity and in alpha testing now. Spatially aware AI for single player, co-op and multiplayer, and thousands of units on vast maps without lag.

It is also where I sharpen the toolkit. Keeping a huge army moving smoothly is the same work that keeps a client app fast.

The stages of an app build

You click through it before the back end gets built.

  1. 1

    Interface

The screens come first, with demo logins and dummy data. You click through the real thing and steer it while changes are still cheap.

You have clicked through a working demo

  2. 2

    Back end

Real accounts, real data and the engine under the screens, plus the connections to anything else it needs to talk to.

Live accounts running on real data

  3. 3

    Snag and fix

You and your users try it for real, we find the rough edges, I fix them, and it goes live.
