The tradesman who quotes by text
A tradesman with a van and a full diary. He visits the job, surveys it, quotes it and does the work. His wife does the invoicing.
Before
- Photos on his phone, notes wherever, the rest from memory
- Quotes need the laptop, so they wait till night, or go out as a text
- Some never go out at all. Work lost, and he does not know it
- Every job that lands, his wife types up an invoice from scratch
With the build
- He pulls up. GPS fills in the address, nothing to type
- He does the survey his own way, because it is built for him. If all he wants is a few photos and a few notes, that is all it asks for
- It is filed by job and accessible on all devices, even if he loses or breaks his phone
- He prices it up as he would and presses send. The app tidies the wording and lays it out, and the PDF looks as professional as his work
- The customer says yes. One button marks it sold
- His wife opens the app, sees the job is sold, and one button sends the invoice
No subscription beyond the hosting, and nobody else can switch it off. He runs the business on it.
